Custom House: Constraints + Collaboration = Creativity

  • Custom House 101 Lower Thames Street London, EC3R 6DL (map)

Join us for a rare behind-the-scenes tour of Custom House before redevelopment begins. This pre-strip-out visit offers a unique opportunity to explore one of London's most significant Grade I listed buildings and hear directly from the team shaping its next chapter.

We will explore the complexities of transforming a historic public building into a new destination featuring a hotel, restaurants, bars and publicly-accessible spaces.

The conversation will examine how the planning process, often viewed as a series of constraints, can become a powerful creative tool.

Through collaboration with owners, planners, heritage bodies and local stakeholders, the very elements that appear to limit change can instead help define a more authentic, meaningful and commercially successful future, turning heritage from an obstacle into the foundation of a compelling new brand.
