Our next Festival of Hospitality event takes us Under the Covers at The Shepherd Mayfair, one of London’s most anticipated new hotel openings and a new landmark for the area.

We’ll go behind the scenes with the team responsible for bringing The Shepherd to life – from ownership and planning through to architecture, design and delivery – to uncover the journey from concept to completion, and the thinking, challenges and collaborations that have shaped the hotel along the way.

Bordering Park Lane and the iconic Shepherd Market, The Shepherd Mayfair draws on the rich cultural history and distinctive character of its surroundings while reimagining them for the modern guest. The result is a hotel rooted firmly in its neighbourhood, but with a personality entirely of its own.

The 82-key hotel, from Bain Capital and Orka Investments, reinterprets British luxury through a contemporary lens. Its story has been shaped by Timothy Shepherd, initially in his former role as Managing Director at Buckley Gray Yeoman ID and subsequently through Shepherd&, whose team has developed the narrative across every aspect of the hotel’s experience.
