Elyse Howell-Price
Associate Director, Orms
Elyse joined Orms in 2023 following 17 years at Grimshaw. She developed a specialism in historic buildings through the conversion of the Grade II listed Herman Miller Factory in Bath. She subsequently completed a Masters in Building History at the University of Cambridge, where she also worked at Historic England as a Heritage at Risk Projects Officer. Drawing on this foundation and her experience across the transport, education and leisure sectors, she now leads one of the largest Grade I listed conservation projects in London - Custom House.
Elyse is a strong advocate for the social value of heritage, believing that the sensitive reuse of historic buildings can strengthen community identity, promote sustainability, and create lasting benefit for the places we share.
In addition to her practice work, she is a visiting design tutor at the University of Bath, leads Orms' EDI group, and is an accredited RIBA Conservation Architect. She was named in the AJ's 40 Under 40 in 2020 and in Hotel Designs’ Brit List top 25 Architects and Architectural Designers of 2025.
