Roji

Roji, which translates to “hidden path” really does live up to its name as to find it you need to venture off South Molton Street and find the small understated sign and ring the bell. Once inside, you step into an intimate, yet minimalist softly lit secluded haven of pale wood and sliding screen doors. With only 10 seats around a wooden sushi counter it's truly a place of calm and escapism. The whole experience is a slow ritual starting with a drink and an ice cold hand towel, followed by a welcome speech as dishes are placed in front of you. The menu changes seasonally with a focus on sushi, pickling and preserving all served on carefully selected crockery from small family producers in both Japan and the UK.
