room2

Hyped as the first whole-life net-zero hotel on the planet, room2 in Chiswick has been considered from construction to operations through to end of life. Using 89% less energy than an equivalent property, the 86 room hotel has both a green and blue roof - one that stores water and slowly disperses it into the local environment. It also runs entirely on on renewable energy, some of which is made on site via solar panels and heat pumps. Rooms have been designed with bespoke furniture made within 10miles (16km) reducing the overall carbon footprint and materials have been carefully chosen for their betterment for the planet such as Foresso an eco terrazzo made from offcuts from the carpentry industry which features in the public spaces.
