Refuge Worldwide
Neukölln-based radio station Refuge Worldwide started broadcasting in 2021 and has grown beyond a radio station to become a community hub for people from Neukölln and beyond. The studio bar Oona, on Weserstr, is a destination for people to listen to the broadcast whilst drinking coffee during the day or a meet up for drinks courtesy of their great selection of organic orange wines and cocktails which include a vegan whisky sour made with aquafaba.
Broadcasting live Tuesday to Friday they flex the use of their space beyond broadcasting building on their community outreach philosophy. They offer free to attend workshops to include music production, spoken word and classes in media, creative fields and mental health. The atmosphere and the design is relaxed with a central chrome bar designed by ErtlundZull who also had a hand in the design of the Aera bakery
